Built to your door. Every Apollo screen is measured on-site, fabricated from 6063 T6 aluminum with a powder-coated finish, and installed by a factory-trained Apollo dealer. Reach out to us so you can finally open your door without opening your home to bugs.
A retractable screen door rolls up into a slim aluminum housing mounted to one side of your door frame when it's not in use. Pull it across when you want fresh air. Let go and it rolls back in slowly, no slamming.
Your door looks exactly the same with or without it. No screen in the way, no hardware hanging off the frame. It also solves a problem traditional screen doors can't: outswing doors. If your door swings outward, a hinged screen door would clash right into it. A retractable screen mounts to the side of the frame and stays out of the way completely.
You'll also see them called invisible screen doors, disappearing screen doors, pocket screen doors, or retractable door screens. Same product, different name depending on who's selling it.

Who we are and how we build retractable screen doors.
Got a front door, French doors, a patio slider, or a wide bi-fold opening? We build screens for all of it: single panels up to double-wide, custom measured to your door.
Our most popular application. French doors are meant to open up a room, and a hinged screen door gets in the way of that. The standard fix is two screens meeting in the middle. On select configurations, Apollo can also cover the whole opening with a single screen, a design only one other manufacturer offers, made possible by a slow-close mechanism that prevents slamming. Either way, the screens roll fully out of sight when retracted.

Nobody wants a screen door cluttering up their front entry. Retract it and your door looks exactly the way it did before you installed it. It also means one-handed operation, so you can walk through with your arms full of groceries instead of wrestling a door that slams behind you.
Explore front door screens
Replace your worn-out sliding screen track with a retractable screen that actually works. It glides on precision tracks instead of the flimsy rollers that jump off the rail or stick halfway. Works with standard 6-foot sliders and oversized 8, 10, or 12-foot patio doors.
Explore sliding door screens
Bi-fold doors, multi-slide systems, and open-air living rooms all need something wider than a standard screen door. Apollo builds motorized retractable screens up to 20 feet wide, and one button press extends or retracts the full screen.
Explore large opening screensEvery Apollo retractable screen door has four main components: the housing cassette, the mesh screen, the guide tracks, and the slow-close mechanism.
Housing cassette: A slim aluminum box (about 2" wide) that mounts to one side of your door frame. The screen rolls into this housing when retracted. It's powder-coated to match your door trim.
Mesh screen: A custom-formulated insect screen that's stiff, durable, and practically invisible once installed. Keeps bugs out, lets air through, and doesn't obstruct your view.
Guide tracks: Top and bottom aluminum channels that the screen travels along. These keep the mesh taut and sealed against the frame. Pile weatherstripping inside the tracks prevents gaps.
Slow-close mechanism: This is what separates a quality retractable screen from a cheap one. Apollo's slow-close system retracts the screen at a controlled, even speed. No sudden snap-back. No slamming. Safe around children and pets.
