Introduction

In the quiet neighborhood of Star, just outside Boise, a homeowner reached out with a simple request: they wanted two custom retractable screens — one for a secondary door finished in bronze, and one for their main white front door. They didn’t want anything bulky, loud, or flimsy. They wanted something that looked clean, worked smoothly, and could hold up over time.

Project Overview

The project involved installing two distinct Apollo retractable screen doors:

• One Bronze Retractable Screen Door for a side entry

• One White Retractable Screen Door for the main single front door

Each screen was custom built to match the existing door frame — both in color and in fit — while providing smooth function and full insect protection.

Installation Process

We started with a detailed on-site measurement to make sure both screen doors would sit perfectly within their respective openings. Apollo doesn’t do one-size-fits-all. These screens are cut and built specifically for each opening, and the installation is just as precise.

For the bronze screen, we mounted the housing to a darker side entry door, creating a seamless, finished look. The darker finish blended naturally with the frame and exterior wall color.

The white screen was paired with a single white front door. Here, the goal was to keep everything clean and minimal. The screen tucks away into a slim white housing that almost disappears against the trim.

Both screens feature Apollo’s signature smooth operation and metal ergonomic handle, which our customers love for its feel and durability.
