The Builder Who Swore Off Motorized Screens Just Specified Them On Every Future Build In Lake Zurich

We installed this incredible project on a stunning brand new build on Lake Zurich in Illinois. The homeowner contacted us while the deck was under construction because they were looking for a higher quality solution than traditional fixed screens. They wanted to preserve their amazing view of the lake and couldn’t comprehend the idea of obstructing it with fixed screens. The custom home builder working on the house was hysterically hesitant about motorized screens because they had seen our competition on other homes and didn’t believe a product existed that was worth putting on the magnificent homes they builds. Then we can came along. The homeowner called us inquiring about our Apollo product, and was looking for someone to convince their builder away from their proposal of fixed screens. 

We met with the builder, contractors, and homeowners on site and introduced them to our Apollo product. They were impressed by the quality of the materials, duration of warranties, and how thorough we were in explaining the product while describing the best way to install them. 

After several months of coordinating with all parties involved, we were able to install one of the nicest projects we’ve ever done. These 4 power screens were unique because we ordered them with Glacier white housings but customized the hembars and rails in Onyx black to match the posts. The finished aesthetic was unbelievable. We had the porch constructed with the proper framing to allow us to mount the units at the same height so they drop and rise perfectly  in unison with one another. They chose Textilene 80 (or Maverick 75) fabric to block the blinding UV rays from the evening sun. With the wind they have living on the lake, and their desire to use this porch as much as possible during the year, they went with an upgraded fabric that will deter high winds and help insulate the area for their heaters in spring and fall. 

The finished outcome was phenomenal. The homeowners absolutely loved it.
