Full-Height Motorized Solar Screens On Two-Story Windows In El Dorado Hills

A home in El Dorado Hills needed sun control on double-height two-story windows and a terrace gym — openings too tall to manage manually and too exposed to leave unscreened through a Sacramento afternoon — see our motorized patio screens page for full specs.

Off-white motorized solar screens were installed at full window height throughout both spaces. The fabric cuts heat and glare from direct sun without closing the room off from natural light. The gym stays usable during peak afternoon hours. The living area stays bright without the greenhouse effect that unscreened two-story glass produces. Because the screens are motorized, every one raises and lowers at the touch of a button — including the windows no one could reach by hand.

The off-white finish was chosen to blend with the modern interior rather than draw attention to the hardware. Full-height coverage means no gap at the top where afternoon sun gets through anyway.

If you have tall windows, a home gym, or any space where direct sun makes the room uncomfortable, get a free estimate and we will size and specify the right screens for the openings.
