A Backyard In Eastlake Got A Permanent Outdoor Room With Shade And Airflow

A homeowner in Eastlake wanted more than a temporary shade solution. We installed a custom Apollo Onyx outdoor pergola with a ceiling fan, turning an open backyard into a usable outdoor room they can enjoy through every season — see our Atlas Louvered Patio Cover page for full specs.

The Onyx finish was selected for its durability and clean look against the home's exterior. Motorized aluminum louvers let the homeowner dial in exactly how much sun or shade they want at any point in the day. The ceiling fan was integrated into the structure during installation — not added as an afterthought — so airflow and ambiance work together without extra hardware cluttering the space.

The result is a backyard that functions as a true extension of the home. Rain or full sun, the pergola handles it without the homeowner making any adjustments beyond a button press.
