A homeowner in North Las Vegas wanted fresh air through the front door without the bugs and without the look of a traditional screen door. We installed a retractable screen door sized to the exact opening, built to within one-sixteenth of an inch.
The goal was clean. No visible hardware dominating the entryway, no door that fights you on the way in. The screen rolls out when needed and retracts completely when it is not. A slow-close speed reducer was included so the screen returns without slamming. The mesh lets airflow through while blocking insects, and when retracted, the housing sits flush enough that most visitors never notice it is there.
