A Palm Springs homeowner had a set of double French doors opening to the side yard. The existing screen situation was a mess — two panels that stuck, slammed, and had to be wrestled open any time hands were full. We installed a retractable screen door system built to fit the opening within one-sixteenth of an inch.
The unit was built as a double configuration to match the French door layout. A secure latch system was added so both panels close together cleanly without rattling or pulling apart. The mesh nearly disappears in the frame, so the view to the side yard stays intact when the screen is in use.
When the doors are open and the screen is not needed, it retracts completely out of sight. No panels leaning against the wall, no hardware in the way. The homeowner now moves in and out of that space without thinking about it.
If you have French doors or a double opening that has never had a screen that actually works, get a free estimate and we will measure the opening before anything else.
