French Doors In Torrance Get Retractable Screens Without Losing The View

A homeowner in Torrance had French doors that opened the room up — and a bug problem that came with it. We installed a pair of retractable screen doors with black long-pull handles, sized to the exact opening within one-sixteenth of an inch.

The long-pull hardware was the right call here. French doors create a wider reach from handle to handle, and the extended pull makes it easy to open both screens in one motion without fighting the frame. Black finish was chosen to match the existing door hardware and keep the look consistent from inside and out.

When the screens are retracted, they disappear into slim black housings that sit flush against the door frame. The view stays clear. The doors still look like French doors.
